The last of the four qualification races for the 2011 Velka Pardubicka, sponsored by FRANCE CAR, will be the feature race on French Day at Pardubice on Saturday, September 10th. Eleven horses are entered.

Six of them are already safely qualified: Valldemoso, Sixteen, Lakreg, Karlsbad, Wavelight Laser and Chenonceau. Grilias and Polar Pond are not entered for the VP. Only three are entered but as yet unqualifed: Dobyvatel, Imbir and Nikaska, none of which has yet given any reason to think he/she has a chance of winning the VP. It will be interesting to see if Sixteen can show a return to her distinguished form of past years, and if Chenonceau can return to the form that brought him six successive wins prior to the 2011 season. Valldemoso and Wavelight Laser both have the right attitude. Neither is easy to beat.

The weather in Bohemia continues cool and rainy, and the going should not be hard.
